Sowers Lectureship Program

The Sowers Lectureship Program connects you with distinguished lecturers in the field of biblical studies. Enrich your next program with one of several lectures, which cover a specific topic related to biblical history, theology, interpretation, culture, and more.

Cost

The lecture fee for each speaker ranges from $150-250. Sponsors of a lecture provided by this program pay the lecture fee directly to Sowers and cover the lecturer's travel, lodging, and meal expenses, if applicable (meaning conducted in residence or onsite). Each scholar in the lectureship program is asked to donate the lecture fees from one of his or her lectures to the ministry.

Format

The fee covers a 90-120 minute presentation, which includes a question and answer session. Any further requests made of the speaker (e.g. class visits, additional talks, etc.) should be covered by an additional honorarium paid directly by the host institution to the speaker and will be his or hers to keep.
